Karen Zimmermann is an Associate Professor in the  School of Art at the University of Arizona in Tucson where she teaches courses in design. Karen is interested in exploring the relationship of text and image through her work.   She has been a recipient of an Arizona Project Grant by the Arizona Commission of the Arts. Her work has been in “The Education of a Graphic Designer,” “Teaching Motion Design,” “The Education of an ‘E’ Designer” and Inform, American Institute of Graphic Arts, The Type Director’s Club, Sigraph and ZED. She received her MFA in Visual Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University.
